Brahmani / Brahmi
The shakti - Female incarnation of Brahma is Brahmani. She is considered as a non-Vedic deity and is considered as one of the prominent Sapta Matrukas - The seven Mother Goddesses. It is said that Bhagwan Brahma created her to battle Andhakasura alongside of Devi Parvati.
She's often portrayed with four heads and four hands just like Bhagwan Brahma and carries Shruk & Ved (patti) along with Akshmala and one of her hands is either in Abhay mudra or Varad Mudra.
She wears Karanda Mukuta along with other prominent jewellery and a pitambar.
Devi Brahmani is the first one to appear on the panel of Sapta Matruka and symbolizes creation. It is also believed that she also represents “mad” the false pride.
Jain mythology believes her to be daughter of Bhagwan Rishabhdev and her sister is Sundari. Bhagwan Rishabhdev taught her the script and she invented writing. The legend says that she helped Bahubali to get over his false pride and attain “KevalGyan”.

ब्रह्माणी / ब्राह्मी
भगवान ब्रह्म यांची शक्ती किंवा स्त्री रूप म्हणजेच ब्रह्माणी किंवा ब्राह्मी.
ब्रह्माणी देवी हि अवैदिक समजली जाते परंतु सप्तमातृकांपैकी प्रथम आहे आहे मानले जाते. देवी ब्रह्माणी हि सृजनतेचे प्रतीक मानले जाते. भगवान ब्रह्म यांनी ब्रह्माणीची निर्मिती देवी पार्वतींच्या अंधकासूर राक्षसाशी चालू असलेल्या लढाईत मदत करण्यासाठी केली असे म्हटले जाते.
भगवान ब्रह्म यांच्या प्रमाणेच देवी ब्रह्माणी ला ४ हात व ४ मस्तके असतात. हातात श्रूक, वेद (पट्टी), अक्षमाला अशी काही साधने असतात तर एक हात वरद किंवा अभय मुद्रेत असतो. तिने मस्तकावर करंद मुकुट धारण केलेला असतो आणि पितांबर परिधान केलेले असते.
जैन कथेप्रमाणे भगवान रिषभदेव यांच्या दोन कन्या होत, ब्राह्मी आणि सुंदरी. ब्राह्मी हिने लिपीची निर्मिती केली तसेच लेखन निर्माण केले. ब्राह्मी ने बाहुबली यांचा मद उतरवला व त्यांना केवळ ज्ञान प्राप्त करण्यास मदत केली.
